Personality;; Douglas is quite the hot-headed person, whose temper can flare easily. However, he doesn't hold grudges and easily forgives and forgets. He can get touchy when issues involve his personal possessions or people he cares about. Despite that, however, Douglas is an incredibly optimistic person and is happy most of the time. While brave and willing to stand up for what he thinks is right, Douglas has an uncanny fear for spiritual things such as ghosts and spirits. As a more athletically adorned figure, Douglas looks up to intelligent people and usually expects that they have the answer to everything. However, this makes him quite gullible and he sometimes believes a little too much of what others tell him. He is usually polite and respectful to the people around him if they treat him the same way in return. He isn't very patient, however, and can get a bit crabby from waiting.

The chirp of the morning birds were the first thing that welcomed Douglas into the new day as he rubbed his eyes and pushed himself up from the warm haven of his bed. He sat at the edge of his bed, eyes still hypnotized by sleep. Shaking his head, Doug pushed the remaining notions of dreamworld out of his head and stood up, taking a big stretch. "Looks like a beautiful morning." He smiled brightly as he took a peek outside the window only to be met by the sharp glare of the sun. Backing away from the curtains, Douglas rubbed his eyes, attempting to get the flash out of them. He bumped into his desk, knocking over some trinkets which he had placed there as decorations. "Aw man." he grumbled as he fumbled to set them back up. Then, he snatched up his shirt, which had been hanging on the back of his chair, and slipped it on.
Things went more smoothly after that as Douglas walked over to the bathroom and washed his face, which really woke him up. He then continued on his daily routine of brushing his teeth and combing his hair. What did have to do now? Doug stood dumbfounded at the door of his room, trying to recall the next thing on his agenda when a loud groan interrupted his train of thought. "That's right! Breakfast." he grinned as he opened the door and headed outside of the dorms to grab a bite to eat before class started.
The weather was really just as well as Douglas had expected. The air still permeated with the last of the morning chill, but the sun was doing a spectacular job of warming the night-cooled place up. The trees that were scattered all around and clumped in the distance were flaunting their evergreen glory and shone as the last few drops of morning dew evaporated into the air. Douglas wore a large grin that spread from ear to ear and even had a little whistling going on as he paced toward the cafeteria. Along the way, he greeted people left and right, regardless of whether he actually knew them or not. It was a wonderful, bright day and Doug wanted to enjoy it to the fullest.
