The young girl smiled softly, she held a dark blue folder in one hand, and her other hand hung at her side as she walked up towards the piano. No matter how annoying it got, with her parents encouraging her to become a pianist, as a profession, when she was older, she still enjoyed playing, just for fun, and practicing. It was just something that put her at peace. Something that always calmed her nerves. Sure, she could run, let her anger out. But with her luck, she would end up lost in the forest. And Ashlynn was positive that she wasn't going to do that. There were bears and such out there. And she absolutely did not want to be eaten by a bear. No thank you.
Ashlynn smiled peacefully as she seated herself on the piano's bench, spreading her music gently on the holder and flipping casually through it. A majority of it was sophisticated, boring peices, that sounded beautiful, but were really difficult, songs that her parents had given her, in hopes that she wouldn't be able to resist them, and would choose piano because of those songs. After reading the songs over the first time, she had stuffed them away, hidden, in her folder. She just hadn't like their slow melodies.
Ashlynn grinned as she found the correct piece, she set it up, even though she did know it by heart. It was a simple piece, one a six year old could play, easily, but still, it was her absolutely favorite, just because it wasn't so boring. Plus it was so simple it was just wonderful! And it was also the exact opposite of what her mom wanted her to play. But she adored the piece, no less, because of this.
Smiling softly to herself, Ashlynn positioned her long pale fingers softly on the keys and began to play. Gently playing the soft melody, but managing to give each note a more complex sound, despite how simple this song could be. Humming to herself, Ashlynn's fingers drifted along, tacking a turn from them music and playing a melody, it wasn't a song. It was just, noise, really, but her favorite thing about the piano was that, no matter what you played, as long as it was beautiful and flowing, everyone would think it was a song, which was rather interesting. But, at the moment, she was only playing to hear the music, and to listen to the comforting notes.

Silence, a key part in what was replaced in her new life. No more honking, yelling, the pounding of fist against a poor souls body. Peaceful, absolutely wonderful. Even the dreary stench was replaced with clean fresh air. The metallic taste that would cling to the back of her throat was gone. No more city, no more noise.
Eiko clenched the crippled piece of paper, her palms clammy from not letting it go. Room 180A, Room 602B... Her eyes scanned none stop at the words, scribbled particularly messy. She was pacing along a narrow hallway, sometimes glancing up at the windows, looking out at the bright clear day. Her bag, which she carried immensely, swayed back and forth, hitting her thigh before going back to empty air. RIN EIKO was printed in capital letters along the side of her sac. Honestly, she was displeased by way it was written. Last name first, first name after, just the way it's supposed to go.
She paused, taking one last look at the paper before stuffing it into her pocket. She looked around, soaking in the new environment of the school.
Music? She thought, her ears strained to make it out exactly. Yes music, flowing beautifully through a door at the end of the hall. Eiko took a step forward and winced. What happens if the person in there hates me? What if... She paused, her thoughts stopping abruptly. Why the heck was she thinking these things?
Almost unwillingly, her feet walked stiffly to the room, her hands tucked behind her dark purple dress. She lifted one hand, and pushed back some wisp of black hair that was easing its way over her eye.
Opening the door, she peered in. A girl sat comfortably on the piano's bench, a spread sheet of music on its holder. She seemed to be enjoying herself, only for the fact that a smile was plastered on her face. Eiko opened her mouth slightly, but no words came out. What was she supposed to do? Sit back and watch.
"Your music, it's lovely." She whispered, though it was loud enough to be heard. She shrink back, as if wanting to shut the door and run. She stood still, her legs rigid in one place.

Ashlynn's hands continued to float softly over the keys, sliding over the smooth white rectangles and pressing sternly down on the keys, making her own song, technically. Grinning to herself as her fingers drifted along, she changed the song back to the basic music of the song, no longer playing her own version of the song, but going back to the simple melody of her absolutely favorite piece. At least it wasn't so complex and boring, at least it wouldn't take so much time, and energy just learning it, and constantly having to repeat playing the same notes, which was quite boring, once you kept on repeating the same exact notes, over and over again.
Ashlynn heard the door click open, but she began slowing down the tempo of the song, bringing it to and end in a few moments. "Your music, it's lovely." Ashlynn grinned, still facing the piano as she ended the song, at the end of the song. OK, she had played out the song, without music, she hadn't even flipped a page. Anyway, flipping pages were too difficult when you had to have two hands on the piano to play successfully. Well, at least she had memorized. That mad it all easier.
Ashlynn grinned as she finished, turning around, and smiling at the girl, not quite recognizing her, but she was still grinning in a friendly manner anyway. It was just how she was, "Thank you!" She said brightly, grinning up at the other girl brightly. She was happy, yes. Absolutely.

The notes stopped, the fingers not pressing down on the white cool surfaces of the keys. She turned. "Thank you!" Eiko's eyes widened, the eyebrows suddenly coming down into a sorrowful expression. She hadn't mean for the girl to stop playing, and focus some attention on her. Maybe a quick nod would have been nice. Eiko ducked her head down, a faint smile creased the sides of her lips. "Your welcome, though I-I didn't mean to interupt I-" She paused, her eyes averting to the floor. She felt nervouse, her heart quickening into a fast pace. The palms of her hands began to feel sweaty again and her face flushed red. She rubbed both her ankles together, a weird thing to resort to. Honestly, she needed a way to sort out these crazy feelings, and that was a good option. "Uh-I'm Eiko, I uh..." Her voice trailed, the memories of how to be polite filled her mind. Do I curtesy or? , She shrugged the thought off and did it anyways. Eiko soon realized how foolish that was, and stood straight, her already red face amplified. God, why did I do that?. She fidgeted, her long gaze settling on the girl. Eiko's mind raced with so many questions, with so little answers.
